Is it just me or is College football getting more and more interesting with each passing year?
Vince's classic quote is turning into "Any given Saturday..."
In a world where any team can win and any 25 point favorite can fall each Saturday for me comes like Christmas morning, which poll rocking upset is wrapped neatly and placed underneath the tree?
Its getting to the point where I ask myself who needs the NFL and their paltry six televised games a week. The NCAA serves up at least 5 on ESPN & ESPN 2 alone each Saturday! Plus all the coverage on network TV, Thursday and Friday games & some lesser games on ESPN U & Big 10 network.
With all this coverage there is a lot of surfing and searching to find the most interesting games, but let me give you a look at my point. Two weeks ago I got to watch two games go down to the wire at the same time with ND v Pitt in their 3OT thriller & FSU try to come back from down three in the waining seconds. NFL rarely serves up two games this close in one weekend while this level of excitment is common every weekend.
So I say proudly who needs the NFL!?
